At least 25 years ago (I don't recall the date), I attended a lecture by Phyllis at the University of Delaware here in Newark. The theme was likely her reasons for opposing the then trendy "ERA".
As would be expected at a college, most of the audience were young people, and the post-lecture questions were mostly antagonistic (and shockingly worded to me, a 50ish graduate of this school and then a Ph.D. researcher) .
Nevertheless, Phyllis answered all questions calmly and well, without matching the rancor of the students--which greatly impressed me.
Since then, I have greatly benefitted from Phyllis' "Eagle Forum" and other position papers--and I am pleased that she is still writing them--which are all "on target"!
