  • Nebraska ratified the Equal Rights Amendment on March 29, 1972, and rescinded it on March 15, 1973;
  • Tennessee ratified on April 4, 1972, and rescinded April 23, 1974;
  • Idaho ratified on March 24, 1972, and rescinded February 9, 1977;
  • Kentucky ratified on June 26, 1972, and rescinded on March 17, 1978 (that rescission resolution was inappropriately subsequently vetoed by the state lieutenant governor while the governor was absent from the state)

In early 1979, STOP ERA began a national effort to rescind ERA in numerous additional states.
